Using your receipts

Offers that find you because you already shop there

28 August 2026 · 5 min read

Most deals reach you because somebody paid to put them there. A coupon app you installed once and now cannot find, an email list you never joined, a code that expired in March, a promotion for a shop three districts away that you were never going to visit. The offer is aimed at whoever will look, which is why almost none of it is aimed at you.

Offers in Loop CheckOut work the other way round. They come from shops you already buy from, they sit in the same app as the receipt from the last time you were there, and they cost the merchant nothing until one of them actually turns into a sale.

What an offer looks like

The Offers screen in Loop CheckOut with Browse and My Offers tabs. Two offer cards from Cinnamon Table: one for HK$20 off any order before 30 September, valid once per customer, and one for HK$50 off when spending at least HK$500, each with a Claim button.
Browse what is available, claim what you want, and it moves to My Offers until you use it.

Each card carries the shop it came from, the discount stated plainly in the corner, the actual terms in the description, when it runs out, and a Claim button. The two above are the common shapes: a flat amount off with a limit of one per customer, and a spend threshold — HK$500 gets you HK$50 back. Claim one and it moves to My Offers, where it waits until you are at the counter.

Redeeming it is the same gesture as getting your receipt: show your code, the cashier scans it, the discount lands on the sale. You will see it on the receipt afterwards as a line of its own, so the discount is part of the record rather than something you have to remember was applied.

Why you will not be buried in them

This is a pricing question rather than a taste question, and it is the reason the volume stays low. A merchant on Loop pays no commission on ordinary sales. The only commission is on marketing campaigns, and it applies only to a sale a customer completed after redeeming one of their offers — a send that does not convert costs the merchant nothing, and earns Loop nothing.

Nobody is paid for putting an offer in front of you, so there is no incentive to put a hundred of them there. A shop that blasts irrelevant offers gets nothing back for it. The full commission scale, which starts at 9% and steps down to 5% as redeemed volume grows through the year, is on the pricing page.

Stamps and points, in the same place

Offers are one of three things that live in the Hub next to your receipts. A stamp card fills itself off the same scan that delivers the receipt, so there is no second scan and no card to carry. Membership points accumulate across visits, show you the balance and what it converts to, and let you turn them into a voucher you redeem at the counter. None of it asks you to do anything at the till beyond what you were already doing. The mechanics are in the loyalty guide.

What the shop knows about you

Worth being direct, since this is the question a targeted offer always raises.

Your own numbers, in your own app. No merchant sees this view of you.

What it costs

Nothing, and there is no tier where that changes. Loop CheckOut is free for shoppers permanently: no subscription, no premium plan, and no charge for claiming offers, collecting stamps, storing receipts or exporting them. Merchants pay for the point of sale tools they use.

One honest limit: an offer only exists if a shop has created one, and campaigns are a feature of the paid merchant plans. So the offers you see depend on where you shop, not on how long you have had the app. If a favourite shop is not on Loop yet, telling them is the fastest route — or send us their name and we will reach out.
